I have had times where an engine of mine won't start without starter fluid. It seems to go away after I use the machine for a while, just get everything flowing again. You could also look at your fuel pump, they commonly fail and sometimes pump very miserably instead of fully stopping.

I see a few things. I have been through many Husqvarna with briggs twins like yours, that definitely didn't come from this machine. The aftermarket carbs won't have a fuel mixture screw due to EPA regulations. Did you try cleaning and/or rebuilding the original Nikki carburetor? Nikkis are bad...

This may be my unpopular opinion, but this is the 3rd Tuff Torq (2 K46, this K57) that I have rebuilt, and I find it pretty easy and straightforward.

It's a grade of viscosity, thinner in winter as not to freeze.

It sounds like you may need a new alternator. Typically, a mower with an electric pro has a regulated alternator, which you may need to install.

Yeah, belt is nothing to worry about. It is very easy to align the steering wheel if you do get it. Nice they offered a discount for it though! The metal hood is a HUGE plus. Also, it isn't hard to just remove the chute if you get it.

Sounds like a bad ignition coil. When they get old, they become "heat-sensitive", which is why it doesn't want to start. Or bad gas cap vent/some other fuel system blockage.
