I think you all know where I'm going with this.

There are just so many people in the New Members section posting questions!

The New Members section is for new members to introduce themselves, not ask questions, we have a perfectly good section dedicated to lawn mower questions!

Maybe there is something that could be done about this ? I don't know what, but surely there is something ?

Its the same as over on TBN, where new members post their tractor queries in the "New Members" section despite advice to the contrary. Over there I can understand them being overwhelmed by the size of the site and just hope posting in "New Members" will get them advice. But on LMF the site is very small and user-friendly, and it appears the majority of new members are either unable to read, or just too lazy to use the proper category for their problem.

Exactly. People need to start obligating to the rules!

There are no excuses!

Are you a LMF moderator? What is the basis for your assertion that questions can not be asked in the New Members section?

No, I am not a moderator.

the New Members section is for introductions only, as you will see if you click on the heading and read it.

Also, we have a section for questions.

This is the description of the New Members section. Where does it say questions can not be ask?

"New to the site? Say hello and connect to other members here."

Do you think it's possible that new members would feel frustration when they join and ask their first question but instead of getting an answer they get reprimanded for not following your "rules".

Say "hello"! Hello doesn't mean ask questions.

And also, there have been lots of questions asked in the New Members section, and they have all been moved into the questions section. Doesn't that tell you that I am right in saying that the New Members section isn't for questions!?

Repeat ... Where does it say questions can not be ask? The questions to which you refer were move in order to more effectively get an answer. They were not moved because it's against the "rules" to post question in the New Members section. Before you reprimand any more new members for violation your "rules" perhaps you should know what the rules really are.

And perhaps you should get rid of your rotten attitude.

LOL ... now that's funny. Who appointed you the LMF King?! Perhaps you should get rid of your ignorance.
