i have used my cherry picker for years to lift my mowers but it is so big and takes up alot of room and i can get it out of my way and quit stumbling over it all the time
 
I have an electric hoist from Harbor Freight. It is mounted on a double two by six in my shop. Never gets in the way and it would be hard to stumble over it. The hoist will lift most lawn and garden tractor as high as I need to. Cost? $150
 
I tried every way around buying a single purpose tool like the MoJack. I think most MoJack buyers probably do. For me it was having no room for an engine hoist, no overhead beam to support a lift, and being sick of screwing with a floor jack, blocks, and ramps. Even still I couldn't use my electric impact wrench on the spindle nuts, until now.

The MoJack pops apart and stows flat against the wall behind my big garbage can. Gotta love that.

Even at $200 though, I think it's a good buy. It gets the deck nice and high so blade changes are a walk in the park, and it feels plenty strong.

Don't ya just love it when stores do that to ya. I mean a month or two is one thing but when goes on sale the very next week :rolleyes:

I basically tried everything before buying the MoJack like you, floor jack, jack stands you name it even had my muscle bound son pick up the front end of the mower and set it on stands and I didn't feel comfortable under the mower until I purchased the MoJack and you're right it hangs on the wall out of the way nicely. :thumbsup:
 
Man, you guys are talking me into getting one of these. The last time I had the mobile service guy come out and make a couple of repairs and do some routine maintenance while he was at it, it cost me an arm and a leg. The Mo-Jack EZ would have paid for itself with money left over just from that one service call.
 
got my mo-jack yesterday man is that a handy thing i can use it then take a couple pins out fold it up put it under the work bench good by cherry picker:biggrin:
 
Gee, I haven't seen the 'mojack' thread at the top of General Discussion in almost a few hours, so I figured I'd bump it...:rolleyes:
