mojack

Just picked up a MoJack EZ yesterday at Tractor Supply. On sale for $179. Since I first saw this thread I've been watching the sale papers on TS's website for this to go on sale. Haven't even had time to open the box yet, but will post an opinion when I get it together and try it out.

Don't forget to chock your rear wheels! TSC has nice rubber wheel chocks for $8 each.

On that note, does anyone use the provided nylon straps to secure the front wheels to the MoJack? I haven't and I'm not seeing the need since the tires fit so deeply in the pockets. Am I missing anything?

4_12_1.gif That's weird, I didn't get rubber straps. Mine are nylon pull straps with a metal hook in one end and a loop at the other for the pin and no I've never used the things, like you never saw the need.
 
Sorry, I meant nylon. I fixed it. If you get killed because you didn't use them, will you let us know?
 
have been useing the rope and come-along for years (not the tree part) but the mo-jack looks a lot better and safer It also looks like it would work on my ATV's
 
Finally got the MoJack put together today. Took all of 25 minutes, wouldn't have been that long except my tools are up in the garage and the MoJack is in the basement with the lawn equipment, and of course I grabbed the wrong size wrench and had to make another trip around the house. I don't need it yet, but I can see it saving me a lot of time, frustration and money. The easier it is for me to do my own repairs/maintenance the more likely I am to do it myself.
 
I use my 1Ton Engine crane, a Christmas gift from several years ago. A web sling lifts my tractors high enough sit the tractor on a set of HD "sawhorses."
