Niagara river gorge. Trees are really starting to change now.

Nice, looks cold, seems like the water is high.
I was there when I was a kid. I could not get my mind around that much water. I was on "the Maid of the Mist"

Yeah it's always alot of water. Niagara river is not really a river it's a strait between lake Erie and lake Ontario. Lived here my whole life and never been on the maid of the mist. Grew up sailing on lake Ontario though so spent good amount of time on the water. It's def a big part of my life.
Here's a pic of a silver maple turnin yellow wit a linden still green in back. Camera does not do the color justice.

Hermit crab update

I know everyone has been wondering about the Hermit Crab:rolleyes:.
Well I turns out that after a little research i was able to discover that the shell this crab was using as a home is the shell of the "Candy Cane" cone. This particular cone is only found around the island of Hispaniola ( Haiti/ Dominican Republic).
So he either ordered it i online or this cone came from the Dominican Republic! How did it make it from there to here?
Good question...It's about a 600 mile trip across the Atlantic ocean. Using my powers of deduction....I'm guessing that this crab was someones pet that escaped. I am now scratching my head as to exactly why I decided to release it where I found it. I was busy with more important stuff last Sunday and did not put enough thought into that decision.
So there is your update.

I suppose the Maid of the Mist is viewed as a "Tourist thing". Just as I never go to the beach or Disney world. Is this correct?

You've seen ducks speak? Did you hear them too?
What did they say to you jmurray01?
They told me...

I should stop wearing lipstick - It makes me look like asinine... :frown:

I was offended at first, but after I realised how sincere they were, I was OK about it

The ducks said nothing about the heels, handbag, and mascara?
