Do I need a wheel puller or special tool to remove the hub from the shaft of my stwc Scag mower?

If you have the hydrogear drive units according to hydrogear it requires a special puller and the hub is non reusable.

Assuming that the OP is referring to the hub on the wheel motor, Scag Wildcat has separate pumps and wheel motors and a special wheel puller is needed to remove the hub. The hub is reusable and is also the brake drum for the brake band.
