so w/ top valve spring compressed I can adjust bottom an it doesn't matter what stroke piston is on ? thanks HLW49Bottom valve is intake top is exhaust. Clearance is .003 to .005 on intake and .005 to .007 exhaust.
Watch the Taryl video that was posted on page 1. All your answers are there.so w/ top valve spring compressed I can adjust bottom an it doesn't matter what stroke piston is on ? thanks HLW49
Actually to use that method the piston must down 1/4" pass the TDC compression stroke. This way the ACR bump is not in the way. It is just easier to use the older method of adjusting each valve independently by having one fully open and adjusting the opposite valve.Watch the video. Engine has to be on top dead center on the compression stroke to adjust the valves.
Yes you are right about the 1/4 past TDC never tried the one valve fully open and adjust the other one. I will have to try it on the next one I do.Actually to use that method the piston must down 1/4" pass the TDC compression stroke. This way the ACR bump is not in the way.
