Thanks for the pearls. So does 14 yrs of function and 756 hrs represent good lifespan or am I about to say goodbye to the timer?

14 years is a good run. Rule of thumb says 10 years on a coin cell.

When the time comes use a paint pen to write the last hour reading you remember on the panel near to the meter, and replace meter with a new one.

A “permanent” Sharpie will fade. Paint pens are similar but harder to find.
