I just joined so I'm not too sure of your rules, but I have a cool "invention" for lawnmowers...Now you guys might not be too keen on it so I'd like to hear your input...Its called the Tiger Tiller and it converts a conventional mower into a tiller. Not meant to replace a sod-cutter, but more of a tool to make the task of removing dead grass easier...And just so you know...If it ever ends up in a big box store- I'll be helping vererans in wheelchairs with the money!

I think if you had a spring loaded adaptor with it it might do better. And not damage the crank shaft or the shaft seal.

Think about this your mowing the yard ( with the oem blade) and hit a big rock or stump and you bend the shaft. So with this thing on there your going to hit something and bend the shaft or break a flywheel key.

I'll concede that if you were aggressive and were not cautious that certainly could be the result... I'd also add that I wouldn't necessarily put one on my prized mower! Having said that I used them on many different mowers, always being careful - and NEVER broke any of them. And to put it into perspective, I encountered many a broken mower, destroyed by in-attentive workers. The secret to this device is NOT using it where rocks are prevalent, and again - to be cautious. The object is to make the project easier, not to destroy your equipment!
Originally, I didn't even own a push mower and used it on my Dixie Chopper, and with your foot always on the deck lift lever, if I encountered roots and such, I would simply lift the deck. You also must understand - Most often I was tilling in yards that were sodded with St. Augustine sod, and when that sod was put down it came with 1 1/2" of dirt, and that was as far down that I was tilling...:)

Never really gave it much thought but I guess he does now. He shows it by the way he takes care of it.

The way I see it is when all of us first started out money was tight and by giving him a rider he has a better chance of making money.

And my wife has me on mower buying lock down.
She said I have gone overboard
You can never have to many mowers , tractors or tools

I don't have a wife so I do what I want!

Nothing to get excited about here but I picked up a mower for $30 today. Scotts turf vac3 or something like that. Looks barely used. The pull cord broke and the guy bought a new mower. Let this one sit up a couple of years. I had a new rope on in about 15 minutes. Put some gas in...tank was bone dry. Thought maybe this guy did better than I thought so I primed it and there's gas shooting out the primer bulb. Its a vented bulb so I knew the float was stuck. The carb was super simple and easy to remove. Sure enough there was thick varnish. Soaked the carb then cleaned it up good and reinstalled it. The mower started right up and runs like a top. Never heard of Scotts mowers but I'm thinking its a cheap HD type mower. Has a good looking deck though. Looks like it might have some decent vacuum action. Has a bag and mulch plug too
