Not my experience. The Gators do a better job on both my X758's 60" deck and my Rogue's. I may well be an outlier though, because on my 7 acres there is a huge mix of different types of foliage, including bluegrass, quack/crabgrass, dandelions, creeping charlie, etc.

That hasn't been my experience that Gator blades lead to grass build-up under the deck. I've had Gator blades on my x758 since about 2017 and on the Rogue since the beginning in 2021. My Rogue hardly ever has build up. Of course I never mow when the grass is wet.

This thread isn't about leveling the deck. Not sure how that has become a focus. The only reference to 'level' previously was about front-to-back tilt where someone suggested there shouldn't be any.

Sure. But my issue isn't a 'level' cut, it is uncut/poorly cut strips of grass where the blades meet.

Can't measure the blades super accurately while still on the spindle and trying to reach under the deck, but I think the Gator blades on currently are just barely over 24". Maybe 24 and 1/16". There is at least 1/4" clearance at any location between the blades and the deck baffles or sides...

I don't know. The Rogue is the only mower I've had with two tanks and mine are linked. Works great for me. As for the 'bust one of the tanks' problem... well, almost every other piece of equipment out there only has a single tank so that seems like a pretty unlikely situation to consider twin...

Reading this thread and wondering... Do some models really come with a 3-way valve that the user has to change to switch tanks? On my 2021 Rogue it has two tanks but they seem linked because fuel is consumed from both and I don't have to do anything. Wouldn't it make more sense that there are...

Wide F'n open throttle. Mowing speed doesn't really have any effect for me unless I'm virtually crawling along. Any normal mowing speed gives me these results.

This has happened since brand new, with the new OEM blades and the new Gator G6 blades. So wear can be taken out of the picture. I may look into the 24.5" option. Thanks.

That's part of what I was wondering. Mine don't appear to move because I always clock them to not meet (stock size blades which wouldn't touch anyway) and when I remove them to sharpen they are never meeting. But I can see the potential risk.

I do. The OEM blades did this and the appropriate Gator replacement blades do this. As for level, I have it set per Bad Boy's recommendation, which I think is about 1/4" higher in the rear. I highly doubt a 1/4" difference over 24" would magically fix my stripe problem, would it?

Kinda can't be that issue since it occurred immediately when new with the stock BB blades. And the replacement Gator blades I moved to are the same length.

Has anyone tried running blades that are a bit longer than the standard/recommended blade length for a particular model? On my Rogue 72" I've always battled two 'mohawks' of grass at the point between the three blades. It's not awful, as in completely uncut strips, but it is pretty noticeable...

Because they need them. One does not have to work a particular job to take advantage of a product. I mow 7 acres with a LOT of things to mow around. My Rogue 72" is a fantastic tool for the job. It shaved an hour off of my mow time compared to my otherwise very capable Deere x758 with 60" deck...

You'd think the chute would be easy and available. Lots of people remove them and put on 'Advanced Chute System'. I've got one laying around for a 72" Rogue deck. No idea what else it might fit.

Do you guys get a lot of flats? Are you mowing commercially or your own land? I've been mowing 45+ years, often on multiple acre lots, and I've never had a flat on a garden tractor or my zero-turn. If it isn't your own properly I guess I can see how you might be more prone to flats.

If the blades are the issue you could check by putting the old ones back on temporarily and seeing if the belt issue goes away. While off, you can weigh the blades to see if there is a significant difference. This is a stretch, but could you have put the blades on backwards? Maybe turning the...

Also check for any fuel restrictions as mentioned above, such as: fuel pickup in tank clogged, fuel filter clogged, pinched fuel line, fuel tank cap vent plugged, etc.

Actually, heat can kill a battery quicker than cold. Regardless, 2 years is far too short of a life unless it was abused or replaced mistakenly thinking the battery was at fault when it was something else. Look elsewhere. A dying battery isn't going to heat up your cables.

Having to have a battery replaced at two years old should be a red flag. Batteries last way longer than that normally. Hot cables imply significant current going through them. Which may be why the first battery died. Given the starter problems maybe something is shorted out within it?

That's Bad Boy's part. I'm looking for the part number from the actual manufacturer of the lights.

There are likely more than one set screw, as prior comment noted. I had issues trying to get a drive pump pulley off for that same reason - I only loosened one of the two set screws. Check for others.

I've been asking in several forums for a year or so and nobody has any info. I'm pretty surprised since it would be very unlikely that BB spec'd those lights custom for this use... I'd imagine they just went to a light manufacturer and found some that met their needs and bought them in bulk. But...

Per my BB dealer, the drive belt tension is set correctly when a credit card (or .030 feeler gauge if you have one handy) slips between the tensioner spring coils without much effort, but not loosely.

Have you contacted your dealer or Bad Boy directly to ask about adjustments? I know on my Rogue there are various steering lever-related adjustments but I don't know what they really do because I haven't had any issues to fix.
