It is an experiment at best, so be sparingly with whatever you add to the distilled water. Try the distilled water by itself first. Always clean off all the heavy debris on the outside before putting it in the tank, that will work much better.

I would suspect the coil, especially if the problem gets worse with heating up. The plug may be questionable if it was purchased online a cheap price, there are lots of counterfeit plugs flooding the online markets.

Sounds like the tank is not venting properly. On older mowers they vented through the fill cap. On newer mowers they have a one-way check valve at the top on the tank or hidden in a line under the body panels. Try running it with the fuel fill cap loose and see if the problem still happens.

Have you inspected for damage from where it got stuck and then pulled out? Something got bent from what you are describing.

I think this is going to lead you back to a servicing dealer on this one. I searched several sites and parts are elusive through most normal parts sources.

Is it on the actual carburetor itself or the governor arm? Some carburetors have them and some don't.

It's possible, or all of the connections need to be cleaned really well with a small wire brush, so the surface contacts are 100%. Voltage and Amperage can do some funny things with even a little bit of corrosion or hazing over.
