Maybe burning isn't allowed? I remember even some rural towns near me in NY didn't allow burning. I guess the fire department got tired of putting out amateur lawn fires.

Yeah...We can't burn either...

Not even worth thinking about out here in CA. Though I'm sure there are some rural areas where it's allowed.

"TONS"...why don't you just BURN the stuff instead of taking it to a landfill and paying to bury it???

Why burn when you can recycle? I mean, dumping it in the woods is a good alternative - it eventually breaks down and feeds the system. But barring that, when I take it to the dump it gets converted into mulch and sold - this helps fund their operation, and it is a great, low-cost source of natural mulching materials for the public. I know, because I'm a customer!

I'm not against burning per se - I have a fire pit that I use year-round. But burning these materials seems a waste.

Excellent - congrats!

(at the risk of exposing my profound lack of knowledge - what's VMC?)

Sweet setup of machinery. Nice storage building also - did you build it? It's a very interesting roofline.

And so do you by paying them to take raw materials to turn into more money...so you PAY them to take something they will resell.........it's like taxes - no matter how much you give them, it's never enough. They charge you more and more for their service, and year after year, offer you less service.....but they get Union wages! OY VEH!!!!

Dumping is free - loading costs $15 per standard pickup bed
