If i could afford it i would. That would be the only way i would get rid of my snapper pro.
Ferris 700z. Snapper s125 or s200. Dixon ultra 61.

Decided i really don't want to travel hours away, so keeping my search more local.
Today I stopped by my neighborhood Ferris Dealer. He has a 700z Turf for $7000, which he doesn't recommend for my 5 acre lot. He wants to sell me a 2100 Vanguard for $8200.
Both being out of my price range. I left a message for the Snapper Pro area dealer, hopefully he returns my call.
Local Dixon dealer is advertising a 61" Commercial Mower for $5699, showing a picture of the dx161. I have to call and see if they are trick selling the ultra.
Let you guys know.

Sounds like the dealer is just trying to get more money from you. The is700 would handle 5 acres easily. Which engine option did you look at for the is700? Seems a little high unless you were looking at the 28hp vanguard big block.
Got better results calling places today.

That's a great price in the 125 I think and shouldn't it have the better deck then the Dixon?
Don't know much about bad boy. The 200 snapper is one tough machine.

That is a good price for the s125xt and the s200xt. They will both do the job. The icd deck is on both and cuts well. The main difference in the two is you would be upgrading from zt3400 ( on s125xt) hydros to zt5400 (on s200xt). And of course the engine. Still a great price on the s200xt. The is700 is the same mower as the s125xt I think your ferris dealer was high on it. You will be fine with any of the mowers you are considering.

When I looked at Dixons in 2012 the DX161 only came with the Briggs Commercial Turf or the Kawasaki FX....the Ultra 61 came with the Kohler Courage. You may want to get some clarification on the engine and make sure it's a DX100, not an Ultra(the price seems awfully cheap for a DX100). The Kohler Courage is a big turn off!! IMHO, I would pick (1)Snapper Pro S125, (2)Dixon DX161(if it comes with the Kawa), (3)Snapper Pro S200 and (4)Bad Boy CZT60.

Don't forget to get the suspension seat though. I can tell you from experience it makes a difference. Dad has it, and I don't.

If we go by history we would stay away from the b&s, but the commercial turf engines haven't been out long enough to pass judgement yet. It would be hard for me to pass up an opportunity to get an s200xt for under 6500. I have never seen one priced below 7500. A lot of mower for that price. I know it will be mentioned that it is the same old intek engine.
