I own a 600z Ferris and really enjoy it. Would you be getting the kawasaki or vanguard on that 700z? Both very good engines. Snapper is made by Ferris also so the Pro line is the same mower without suspension. Parent company of both is B&S. I really like that Dixon DX161 what is the exact pricing on that?

The only difference in the is700 and the s125xt is the price and the suspension. Otber than That they are identical. The s200xt is in the class with the ferris is2100. It is a better mower than The other two i mentioned. I dont have much experience with dixon, but they are built by husqvarna so they should be good mowers. I have the s150xt and it is a very good machine. My dad has the s200xt with the suspension seat and mows 9 acres with it. Which engine options are you looking at? The is700 and the s125xt is offered with the fs series kawi, concidered commercial, but the s200xt is offered with the big block vanguard and the fx series kawi. Those are the engines i would recommend if you are interested in ferris/snapper pro. Icd deck is a good cutting deck as well.

Where can you get a s200xt for under 6500? That is a great price. Jump on that one.

In 2012 my Dixon dealer gave me his "best price" on a DX152 of $6,391 OTD. You can probably get into a DX161 for $6,500 OTD. They are VERY good machines at that price point. I ended up giving about $400 more for my Gravely but it was a better ZTR overall to the Dixon.

S 200xt on sale for $6075 but they are about 350 miles away. Briggs commercial turf 27hp.

Do you recommend against that engine. I won't be using the machine commercially. Just mowing my 5 acres.

Not sold on the commercial turf. It is a variant of the not so popular Intek engine. It was introduced this year. I can recommend the the B&S Vanguard/Big block or Kawasaki. Just so everyone knows I am not knocking B&S because I had a Vanguard for 26 years on my other mower. The dealer was pushing me to get the B&S Comm turf on my Ferris but I didn't wanna be the guinea pig. He says they fixed all the issues...they may have but I'm very cautious when it comes to that stuff.

I too went for the kawasaki. I'm sure the B&S would be fine, but for just a couple hundred more, you get peace of mind. Good luck and happy mowing

The units I am looking at are 2013 closeouts. Will this be the mode year the problems were had with the turf engine.
