I have the Stihl BG56. Bought it new and plan to keep it. Requires minimal maintenance and always fires.
IMO the Echo's need a 5 year warranty. I see a lot of one year old Echo stuff with carb problems. Stay away from the Poulan mentioned above. I've seen those inexplicably loose compression way too consistently.
