I have a three pound container of .095 Magnum Twist waiting in the wings, but the .095 Maruyama string seems to be the best string I have used thus far. Although I'm a homeowner, every time I start the trimer, I trim 1450 feet of edge, eight trees, & ten bushes (little less than an hour and a half).

In 19 years on my property, I used many different strings and always felt I was bumping often. The Maruyama seems to last the longest thus far. I purchased a second head for my new Shindiawa. I plan to use the two heads intermittently with Maruyama & Magnum string to see which string lasts longer.

I have the Shindiawa T242 with about 6 hours on it. I trimmed the las 15 years with a Stihl FS55 ('98) using a multitude of strings. Only lately do I feel I have good strong string. BUT, still testing that potential perfect string....!!!

Before the stihl, I struggled with several different trimmer with no satisfaction.....

I used a lb of Echo Crossfire before I started using the Maruyama Extreme Duty Mforce Edge String (.095). This string seems to be serving me very well.

We used to use the Veri diamond line we got from Hal Verbal in Fresno CA. Can't get it locally here anymore. It was one of my favorites.
