What happens to weedeater line as you use it? Does it dissolve into a powder or liquid, break away into little pieces and fly off, or what? I've never seen any traces on the ground.

I also was wondering if the refrigerator light REALLY GOES OFF when I close the door.

Now I have something else to wonder about....

I go through about a head of line a day 3 finger tip to finger tip lengths is one head.

I use .095 echo crossfire that I buy by the spool

Electrical poles, fire hydrants, raspberry plants, small trees, rocks, string edging, and fencing are my big killers

I only put maybe 10 ft. of line in the trimmer head so sometimes I go through 3 of them a day, other times I don't need to replace the line at all.

Open the door push the button inside the door without closing it....light on or off.

I'm actually not sure if the line is biodegradable which was the question. I'd say no in general plastics take forever to degrade.

If you are overly concerned here you go......>Bioline - Biodegradable Trimmer Line

There now people can sleep.

Y'all need to Patrice your trimming skills.

I don't care what anyone says there are times to not run your trimmer wide open.

I am going to make a video on trimming chain link fence. 50 feet and never let more line out.
Edge a driveway hold the trimmer on its side and walk backwards.

I ran non bump heads for years and hate putting new line on.

(( cowboy up and get over it ))

I don't trim much against chain link fence but I do what you do to edge driveways.

Trimming the deep victorian edges and weeding (yes I do that lazy thing) destroys the 095 pretty fast. The engagement with earth tightens the spooled line which requires me to remove the bump head and loosen/ rewind, but it is worth it. I use variable speed depending upon the task.

Here is several good choices. I am currently using the Supertwist Platinum, but have been very happy with the square Magnum Gatorline with the
strand of Kevlar, or Aramid center.

I have a three pound container of .095 Magnum Twist waiting in the wings, but the .095 Maruyama string seems to be the best string I have used thus far. Although I'm a homeowner, every time I start the trimer, I trim 1450 feet of edge, eight trees, & ten bushes (little less than an hour and a half).

In 19 years on my property, I used many different strings and always felt I was bumping often. The Maruyama seems to last the longest thus far. I purchased a second head for my new Shindiawa. I plan to use the two heads intermittently with Maruyama & Magnum string to see which string lasts longer.

I have heard that Maruyama is good line, but no one here has ever heard of the brand, let alone seen a dealer.
