I had a br 600 that the choke broke off so I ordered a new carb and replaced. When I push the primer no gas goes thru carb and back down purge line. I've tried old carb now too and nothing happens.

When I push bulb without the carb gas comes through adding the carb back the bulb doesn't press and no gas goes through. Did I somehow break both carbs?
 
The bulb needs to pull fuel through the carb and then to the tank, so make sure that they are hooked up correctly.
 
First make you are pulling fuel through the carburetor and not trying to push it through. Primer bulbs are design remove air from the carburetor with some fuel and return it to the fuel tank.
