I serve a very special clientele with my mowing service. The yards are small and the customers very particular.

Most of the gates will not accommodate anything larger than 30".

I'm looking for a 30" hydrostatic zero turn mower that is mulching attachment capable. Good used equipment is fine.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

wnlewis

Never seen a ZTR with a deck that small
Stiga do a rubbish ride on with catcher with a 30" deck
Down here in OZ Cox used to do 24" & 30" tractor style & I think they are still doing the Greenfields Fastcut 24"
In the US I think Snapper will be the only ride on under 30"
Scag & Toro do 32" & 34 " over here because a std garden gate is 36"
There may be a Walker deck that small for their 3 wheel ZTR's

Dixon made the SpeedZTR 30". I use one of those every week at Meridian Baptist Church (where my wife and I attend). Those mowers come up for sale fairly often, and I may have to be more diligent to find one.

Husqvarna had a 30" Zero Turn which has been discontinued.

You might find a used one. Other than that, your choices are 30” commercial walk behind mowers.

The Speed 30 is discontinued after Husqvarna took over Dixon
And for the same reason so is the Husqvarna 30
I have a speed 30 in my run & getting anything other than blades & belts is a nightmare

Bertsmobile,

I understand that the 30" machines are discontinued and that getting parts is a nightmare.

What other brands might have had 30" zero turn mowers that would be worth trying to get?

What about the zero turn machines from Dixon before the hydrostatic drive, those with cones, gears, and chains?

I have found a Dixon DM-36-24964 for sale. It has the Briggs & Stratton 13.5 hp Intek engine. I am guessing it is a ZTR 3014.

What thoughts or comments about this machine?

Thanks,

Dixon is gone, they do not exist
Husqvarna bought them and closed them down
so no one is obliged to make or supply parts for them
I have no experience with any Dixion other than the 6 in my service run .
All of them are a problem to get parts for
The 30" blade will be discontinued very shortly so I just bought 10 of them
the blades for the 44" are also discontinued but I can use other brand blade for it
The 50" is currently available but the 60" one uses Great Dane blades or in a pinch Toro blades cut a bit shorter .

In the U.S.A., 34” zero turns are as small as you are going to find new. Most gates are 36” minimum.

Thank you.
Right now I'm primarily concerned with information about a DM-36-24964, a 2002 ZTR 3014, with a 13.5 Hp Briggs & Stratton Intek, Z-Drive, with electric clutch.
I have the opportunity to pick one up at a good price and a little work.
All it has to do is to earn it's keep till I can afford something smaller.
Best regards,
wnlewis
