Hi Guys, Have now moved onto looking at stripping down and cleaning/reassbling my Kohler cone clutch on a K141.
Spec: 29402D
Serial 5217622
Managed to get the seized clutch cover off and removed the clutch itself. I stripped down the clutch after removing the screws which in itself was a headache and found the thrust bearing was siezed but I managed to get that sorted.
I've gone to re-assemble the clutch after cleaning up the cone etc but have run into problems.
Should the inner cone with it;s lining be fitted all the way down into the pulley assembly? It seems the only way I can get the outer cone to fit snuggly on the flange? Also looking at it whilst assembled like that there is no way the inner cone can be pressed in to disengage the clutch as it is already bottomed out.
Sorry if this is a bit long winded but would appreciate any help again.

There are a couple of different styles of cone clutches. Please either post the model and serial numbers of the unit or pictures of the clutch so we know the style you have.

On the piece of equipment you are working on. The clutch is not a Kohler part.
