Kawasaki fs691v fuel filter

If it was a genuine kawakasi filter it should have come in a white plastic bag branded Kawakasi with a part number on it .
If not then you have been supplied with an aftermarket filter
If the filter has a brand name then it should be a good one
If you asked for a filer to fit a FS691V then the shop can sell you any filter that fits that engine if which there would be at least 100
If OTOH you asked for a 49019-0031 then the shop is obliged to sell you the original Kawakasi part or an equivalent genuine Kawakasi part .
FWIW I never fit genuine parts unless specifically asked to do so otherwise every mower gets the same Prime Line filter.
All that is important is the micron size is near that or the original and the flow rate.
I am yet to see a filter that will not work properly
I use this particular filter because the outlet internally is flush with the end of the filter so you do not get air trapped in the filter .
This does not affect the running of the engine but the customers with no idea about small engines would ring back complaining that the filter was not full. so I changed the style
EFI engines get a finner filter that is in a metal canister
I use the same "high pressure" filter on all fire pumps after a customer had a plastic one go soft and collapse when he was fighting a fire .
Mind you the radient heat was enough to blister the paint on the fuel tank & the frame but I would hate to put a customer in danger for the sake of a $ 10 fuel filter .

Did you happen to see the specs on that thing? Sustained 160F temps can distort the plastic housing. Folded paper elements. Not with a 10’ pole.Yep, this is what i came up with when searching that
