Jonas from PEM suggested I try some #10 x 3/4" panhead screws. Upon examination of the shroud, I discovered it had 2 bosses into which the screws went. I had thought it was only a 1/8" or so thick layer of plastic. Got the screws and coated them in "permanent" threadlocker. We'll see. If not, then it's bolts and locking nuts or nuts with threadlocker. They snugged up very well. There is a possibility I had failed to snug the others. One thing I know, those factory screws are rediculously - high.I've seen them run from 2.50 - to almost 4.00 each. I purchased a pack of 100 stainless for 9.00.

It only took minutes for the screws to escape. I'll try to remember to post the status after my next mowing. Likely 2-3 days from now.
Mowed today after letting the threadlocker cure for a couple of days. So that I might not lose the screws if they backed out again, I applied a small strip of duct tape over each screw. Screws held tight. I'd say it's 50/50 if I snugged them well the first time.

Thank You Bert- Appreciate your input. Yes I mounted it to easily come off intact with the blower housing for annual engine cleanings. I made sure of that. Cause I do keep my engine clean.
The Donaldson canister I got off eBay used, & low price. It cleaned up pretty good (imo). And of course the filters are brand new. As are my spark plugs to get a good 'read' on the burn..
