Look at the blowup on the thread!!!!

Bolt # 3 And pulley #31, that is obviously an adjustment point.
 
That should do the trick, if not, someone may have put on a smaller idler pulley, but that is the adjustment point.
 
Thanks Fish I got out there this morning laying under the mower and finally, I saw it. Just what you said. I replaced the belt and probably didn't even need it. I could have tried adjusting that on the old one, might have fixed it right there. Thanks for the reply, this site is good help.
 
Also why I like having the tractor and engine's model/spec numbers, to look at the blowups, the fix could be right there....
