Mine's a little loose, and it's dripping slowly. I tried and troed and troed to get in there with my hand. There's just no room.
Do you know of a tool that can get in there and snug it up? my band clamp is too wide, I can't sneak it in. Damn engineers.

Have you tried an oil filter pliers? Google one and you should be able to find one. Some auto auto parts store even have free loaners.

If I didn’t already own oil filter pliers and a rubber strap wrench, I’d try one of these things: (1) clean the filter as best I could and then put on clean rubber gloves and see if my grip was good enough to tighten it with both hands/fingers; (2) put a large worm gear clamp on the filter and use the screw fitting to get a good purchase on the filter, maybe tap the screw with a screwdriver to snug it up.

What I use is a 76mm 14 fluke filter socket (note some aftermarket filters are 75mm 15 fluke, Stens 120-485 is one) and a torque wrench set at 8 ft-lbs. Now on some filter these sockets stick a little and need to bumped off. This is for Briggs other OEM can use different sockets.

The set I got are lime green so it hard to miss them.
