Husqvarna YTH21K46 blade engage lever disconnected from cable

EDIT: The cable, part number 152 has a spring on the end; there is a spring on the lever end, number 147 and another, number 42 on the other lever as well. Something is loose there. Those numbers are from my manual, as I have the same exact model, and am interested in what you find out. Sent from my iPad using LMF

All 4 springs (end of cable 152, assembly plate 70, 42 and 147) are intact. Nothing moves or attempts to move when we move the lever. There is zero tension or resistance, none. It is something between the lever and the plate that has become disconnected. Will have part at the end of the week and will update once replaced.

Sounds like the cable is broken

It was the assembly. In between the lever and the black assembly part that you can see under the cowl there is a silver piece of metal that swivels to pull or release the cable when you move the lever. That silver part was the problem. All fixed. Might take the old assembly to a welder see if they can rig it back up, one day.

Good deal! Happy mowing!
