Honda 4514 Electrical Problem

Bought a nice used Honda 4514, first time I used the mower it died and would not crank, the ignition switch is dead, head lights are dead. Here's what I know, battery is good, checked all terminals, check ground, checked fuses, took all wire connector plugs apart and check for corrosion. I put a jumper wire from battery to starter solenoid and motor cranks. Need some help on this one, any ideas appreciated.
