1973-1974 that's when i started riding uprights. in my case the tall Schwinn continental 10 gear,and helped start our bike club which still runs today.Back in the day i was doing a lot of road rides including a few 100 mile/day rides.not no more though ,those days are done. i just got a 'crank forward' to see if i would like a full bent or not. now-a-days the wife and i just putz all the local trails(we have a lot here) we max out about 20 miles/day and 8-11mph .....keep peddling and make a tour

Yea those days of the 100 mile rides are long past. I used to do a lot of organized rides with some of the groups here but since I started the business haven't had the time. I do solo about or between 20 and 30 miles on occasion and it's on the trikes. The Catrike Speed is a 27 speed and the GTT is a 54 spd with a Schlumpf mountain drive. The wife rides a Hotmover 24 speed when we ride separately but she would rather be a back seat driver on the GTT :laughing: Our average is about 14mph on the GTT and I average 10 to 12 CS.
