I have a Harmony HRB215 that had the self propel transmission slipping last year and now does not work at all.

What are some common issues I can look at to get this going again?

Model HRB215 K3 SDA.

Amazon.com : Honda HRB215 HRB216 HRB217 HRM215 Lawn Mower Service Repair Shop Manual : Patio, Lawn & Garden
shop manual honda hrb215k3sda | eBay

OEM Parts : CyclePartsNation Honda Parts Nation I'm posting these folks because I've purchased from them, you can call or email questions, they are fast & efficient, UPS ground to your door. Try adjusting your transmission cable per owners manual, let engine warm up & give it a try, if trans. is not operating try lifting by handle rear wheels off ground & see if rear wheels turn. Let us know what you find, thanks.

Honda 06200-VE2-M00 KIT, 3SPD TRANS (MOWER PART) (NOT RETURNABLE) your transmission, part # has been changed from 20001-ve2-m16 to 06200-ve2-m00.

Model HRB215 K3 SDA.

Drive clutch cable stretched, damaged, or broken
Drive clutch cable out of adjustment (lever freeplay)
Drive belt worn or jumped off

Lastly, there could me some internal fault inside the transmission; Honda does not sell any internal parts, and a whole new one is >$375 :confused2:

Are you the original owner? I'm thinking that HRB is at least 15-+ years old now...

I did some looking around with this last night and found the clutch lever on the transmission to be a little loose and when fully engaged would slip past the contacting spring-loaded part. Not sure if something is broken or if these two parts are missaligned.

Does someone have a diagram for this clutch? I want to see how these parts match up. I am not able to get to the whole system yet as I am waiting for the penetrating oil to help remove the belt cover.

Thanks for any help!

Yes, it's a little old but it's got nothing on my HR21 that just needs a new carb.
