T tinkertoy Forum Newbie Aug 27, 2014 #1 I have put a kit in a 18 hp briggs and stratton carb,its the carb that has the back fire mechanism on the bottom,2 screws holding the bowl on whats causing this to fill the engine block with gas?Thanks in advance.

P Pumper54 Well-Known Member Aug 28, 2014 #2 Sounds like the needle/float is sticking in the open position, you might want to remove the carb/ bowl and see what is going on. Tom
