Yeah,.but these are very easy to fix:rolleyes:

You're right...It wasn't all that hard to fix... it was hard finding just the right size springs. It was really hard to get to, so that I could remove and re-install it it.
I'm pretty sure I saved 500$
OK.. I'll bite. what is a FAGIFF and a NAFTAB?

Must've been a thingemedjingie of sorts,..glad you got er fixed :thumbsup::laughing:

CPPS

Clutch Pedal Position Switch.
If it fails, the truck may not start or the cruise control won't work.
The factory switch is lubricated with non flammable grease to make it "arc-less". This grease is corrosive and deteriorates the 2 compression springs inside.
Finding the right spring is next to impossible. I used a shorter spring and supplemented the length with some rubber tubbing.
right now it works great, it's been a bout 7 months since I performed this jury rig so we will see.

I wish there was some good diagnostic software one could load on to a lap top and plug into the vehicle so you could troubleshoot it. That would be worth a fortune.

There is a few around,a populair one is "car code",works on a lot of makes,..i myself have AE for my 98 GMC 2500 -6.5 diesel, plug and play,monitor the whole truck on the puter,set the timing ,trouble shoot the AT and such.
