Hello,
I have a Yard Machine push mower I'm trying to fix for my daughter.
It has a 550 series Briggs motor on it.
Model #09p702-0149-F1
It will not start.
First thing I did was dump old gas and refill and check air filter thinking I'm good now. Wrong
I pulled the plug and it looked a little funky so I put a new one in instead of trying to clean it.
The mower is probably about 3 years old with not a lot of hours.
Still nothing. So I started looking at the primer bulb and it looks good but not seeing any gas coming in.
I pulled the fuel line off at the carb and gas came out. Looked in tank and it looked OK.
I sprayed starting fluid in and it started right up and died.
So I took the air cleaner plate off and checked out the bulb some more. It looks fine and I could hold it up to my ear and hear and feel air blowing out when I squeezed it.
I then sprayed carb cleaner in every hole and down throat of carb.
So what now? Take the carb off?
I hate when that happens.
Forgot to say I did check spark and it was good
