I keep one around just as a sub for the Nikki's.
Some of them China Clone Nikki's will never run right even when new. Lots of info on-line (you tube) about how to kit them. I buy the clones from Amazon on-line with free returns, sometimes have to get three or more to get a good one.
A Walbro LMT will eventually show up and they are easy to work on.
Make sure the plastic manifold is not leaking/cracked and I make a flat gasket for the manifold to head instead of relying on the o-ring for a good seal.
Briggs Nikki parts/pieces can be found here reasonably priced.

Be aware if you try to look for a Walbro LMT using the Briggs part number for your engine's carb you will be directed to the Nikki replacement carbs, so when searching ebay you will probably have to search for a USED Walbro LMT carb. (and look for the name Walbro LMT on the side of the carb)

Briggs is deceitful/non trurthful with their part numbers for carbs.
For example if you search/using a Walbro LMT carb part number you will be directed to Briggs Nikki replacement or Ruxing and even the China clones. The desirable Walbro LMT carb is NLA as a new replacement. Also when you see a Nikki carb part number (for example a kit or a float, o-ring, etc you have to use the part number search as a Briggs part number instead of Nikki part number.
I have not tried any of the Ruxing carbs mainly because I do not see kits or parts available as user friendly.
If going the cheaper Nikki or Ruxing route as a replacement carb consider using Amazon Prime free returns and keep exchanging until maybe you might find a good one.

Right, since the Walbro LMT is NLA the Walbro BRIGGS part number search auto goes to Nikki or Ruxing as the replacement carb with no warning of such. Kinda like scamazon and fleecebay.
