25 Hp.B&S only running on one cylinder

yes. then I removed both plugs set em on the block connected the wires.spun the motor with starter.yep there both sparking.
then installed em,started it up dripped some gas into the #1 side of the carb and it ran like that cylinder was working.but only while I dripped gas into the intake of #1 cyl.
it has a 2 barrel carb.

Sounds like a carb problem then.

Ok I finally found the problem.This time after taking the carb off for the umteinth time I ruined the gasket from the carb to the "plastic" intake manifold.Looked up the part number and called a local dealer. The new gaskets now come with 2 gaskets and a plate they call a "Swirl"plate. Installed them as per the included instructions and the engine is now running on both cylinders. Not sure why or how long its been running bad.as I know it was used last year. But it seems ok now. another learning experience?
