FYI: The gage wheels are not supposed to have continuous contact with the ground. If you are cutting at 3" or less, move the wheels to the top mounting holes. For anything over 3" move them to the lowest mounting holes.

The Rotary blades are cheaper than the factory blades and they will cut just as well or better. They sharpen up nicely too. Gators are okay late in the season and the first and second mowing. When the grass has fully greened up and filled in, the high lifts work best.

FRAM filters and Autolite were once part of Honeywell Automotive. FRAM has always made their own filters. As far as the OPE and engine manufacturers, they DO NOT make their own filters. Like you said, they contract that out to the lowest bidder.

The belts themselves aren't the problem. Other issues are causing the belts to fail..The deck needs to be checked for damage. The pulleys, idlers, spindles, bushings, and tension springs need to be checked. The pulley alignment is way off.

If you look at the picture carefully, you will see the problem. You have pulley alignment problems. I suggest getting the deck out from under the tractor and give it a good going over.
