If it cranks and no start, it's probably a fuel solenoid. I've had a lot of problems with mine on my Kawasaki.

I know the lack of paint did not cause the uneven cut. The deck was leveled per JD manual and still was cutting bad. The unpainted deck was discovered while checking for a bent blade.

You don't remove the steel plate. If yours is like mine, it's welded. You have to fish the new belt through asumming you pulled the steering column out.

That is what I'm going to check next. I want to see if the blade tips line up in the middle. It could have a bent blade from the factory. Thanks.

Just put a jumper wire to each end of the connector. I did mine a long time ago.

That was one reason why I chose the X390. I wanted the better transmission.

The service manger told me the fuel was fresh in the tank. I only use 93 octane non-ethanol fuel. The fuel that was in the tank was only 3 weeks old. I told him what type of gas I use, and his response was you can't get any better than that. The debris as he put it had to come from the dealer...

Update: I got my mower back from the dealer. The service manager said there was debris in the carburetor. He said the jets were dirty. Whatever it was, it made it pass the fuel filter. The engine is running smooth now.
