He's just showing off.

As distasteful as some find it, I actually shoot squirrels when they are on the deck or roof. I try to chase them off with a low powered BB gun that just smarts a litlte when it hits them, but when they get too persistent or start doing damage I break out the heavier artillery and put them down. They can do a lot of damage, especially if they get on the roof and find a way inside your attic. I didn't have the heart to shoot that little girl though. I was just so astounded when I looked out the window and saw how she'd defeated the bird feeder I just couldn't shoot her, though I did chase her off with the BB gun just on principal.

Agree. I had squirrels in my attic once. Now I'm on constant watch. Don't even like them in the yard but I deal with it. If they're on the house. Lights out

Cute or not but that squirrel would be dead if it was sitting on my truck before it had the chance to do a number on the underhood wiring

BTW,its 0 here and 3" of the white stuff.

We don't have that problem here, not with squirrels anyway.
If it makes you feel better I have three squirrel dogs, that keep these squirrels around here on their toes.
one mistake and they get chomped.
I've taken 1 or 2 that can't seem to learn to stay out of the vegetable garden.
