engine starts and dies

Some later units now only use the fuel shut off to kill the engine, in that the spark is not killed when the switch is turned off.
Can't see it myself, which ones exactly, folks need to know if this is "actually" the case?

Don't overlook the easiest thing to check: Disconnect the fuel line at the engine and make sure it has a steady gravity flow. I've seen a rubber fuel line that swelled up on the inside so much that you couldn't push a coat-hanger wire into it.

This was happening to me where it started and like 5 minutes in it would just shut off. At first I thought it was something with the engine but it wasn’t. What I did was just change the regulator and it fixed it because it was just running off the battery from before. Hope this helped.
