Blades What do you guys sharpen your blades with?

Just curious what methods are used.

I use a 4 1/2 inch hand grinder with a vice to hold the blade.

Remove blade, install in vice, clean it with a power wire brush, sharpen it with a angle grinder, balance blade, reinstall.

I do the same, though I have been told that I should swap my metal grinder with a a more of a sandpaper grinding wheel. I heard you dont lose as much blade that way. So next time I go to home depot I'm going to get one and try it out.

Same as above except I scrape instead of brush and I use a flap disk in my angle grinder to sharpen with. It runs cooler and leaves a nice edge. Balance every time.

Same here. I use G6 Gator blades and the grinding wheel leaves a very uneven edge, but it gets blasted flat by all the sand and grass clippings going over the blade.

The guy who sharpens mine uses a 6" side grinder with a large disc on it.

Tried all these methods and ended up using a bench belt sander due to a more consistent finish.

I've never tried one of those.looks pretty neat
