Singing In The Rain!

More like crying in the rain :frown:

I hate the stuff! And looking at the forecast we are meant to have on/off rain until the end of this week, then perhaps more if the weather report comes back with bad news.

What is the weather like in your part or the world ?

I'm also aware of the Mississippi river situation, so if anybody on here lives near it, I'm sure some people would be interested in hearing a 1st hand description of what is happening there.

We are in another drought here. Temperatures in the low 90's.
We got the first rain in 6 weeks yesterday, not nearly enough but I'll take it. No more in the forecast but the "rainy season" should start soon.
"Rainy season" doesn't mean what it used too here but I guess the weather patterns are changing everywhere.

Although that is probably the least of the worries, the grass will probably die too.

It's been a couple of days of intermittent soft rain. Which is AWESOME! I want about five more days of it.

Just planted a bunch of grass seed :smile:

The one good thing about all this rain, is that by the time the sun appears, the grass will be like a jungle, which isn't bad, as I love mowing high grass!

Because after doing it, you can look back on it, and think - Wow! What a difference!

Plus, the Husqvarna is great on high grass, and the 45L grass bag is big enough to only need emptied twice for the one lawn.

the rain i never complain about all though i didnot get to fertilize my hay it was so wet now it's toping out so i will take the lose and live with it the big thing is we are having tornados withen 20 miles of us and that is just something that don't happen in these mountains it destroyed a whole community that is scary.

There was so much rain Friday that it caused a couple flash floods. We haven't had a flash flood in this county since 1979. It was odd, too - it was barely raining at all at my house, but a mile away, they were getting POUNDED!!

It's supposed to rain all through the week. There goes my mood.......

I've lived in Ohio for eleven years and this is the first season I've had trouble mowing. In fact I've had to pull my mower out of the mud three times so far with my truck, after riding through spots I never dreamed would give me trouble. The spots I haven't been able to hit yet are spawning heretofore undocumented forms of animal and plant life.

Small potatoes though, even the hit my carpet has taken from muddy dogs is nothing compared to what some folks are going through this spring.
