Too cold for me lol

I know, it's bad. My truck hasn't started in about 3 weeks. I don't know what is waiting for me. Probably a dead battery.

Now that makes a lot more sense. We are south of Canada and just a little warmer weather. I was looking out my front window and all the ground is white. I guess I will have to just dream about a nice Florida vacation and green lawns. My daughters took my wife and me a couple of years ago on a Disney vacation in Florida in the month of November and it was warm and green. Other then a wonderful vacation with my daughters I didn't care that much about Disney. Just too many people in one spot. :thumbsup:

I have never gone to Disney. I go to Fl for the beach and the nice weather. I also love seeing lawncare companies and sometimes talk to them.
I don't think I would be able to go to Disney. It is just to big.

I guess my big problem with Florida is. In my mine I see the whole state as one big Disney. A lot of houses, trailer parks, businesses and people and all a big money grab. I have friends that that go to Florida every winter and it seems all they talk about is one big social party, flee markets, and how many miles they ride their bikes. Yes I would think Florida has some country living also but why travel and spend money when I have that right here in NY.

I guess my big problem with Florida is. In my mine I see the whole state as one big Disney. A lot of houses, trailer parks, businesses and people and all a big money grab. I have friends that that go to Florida every winter and it seems all they talk about is one big social party, flee markets, and how many miles they ride their bikes. Yes I would think Florida has some country living also but why travel and spend money when I have that right here in NY.

When I think of NY I just see so many people walking all over the place and taxis all over the roads lol

Amen on that NYC and Long Island never been there and never will I hope. Now just go north and you will be in the Adirondack Mountains. (not Catskills) This is where I got my second home not Florida. Miles of roads with nothing but woods, mountains and no houses. You can jump on a ATV and go over a 100 miles in one day and never see the same place twice, just miles of snowmobile trails and some of the best ski slopes. Some of the best trout streams in the lower 48, good deer and bear hunting in the fall. Only bad part is some very healthy black flies and mosquitoes in the spring and early summer at what time of year I don't go up there. It all depends in what you or I like which can be very different. You like Florida, I like NY. I am sure you must have some nice back country in Florida when you get away from them retired northerner's that think they have to party , ride bicycles, and spend money all winter.

Haha very true. I used to live in Brooksville fl. For a little while and theirs NOTHING out their lol. And I'm back to Brandon fl where I grew up and theirs a lot going on here but I wouldn't wanna live anywhere else. It would be nice to check out the country side of ny

I have been to many different places in Fl. Marco Island, Miami (the worse!!!), Bonita Springs, Naples, Fort Myers and the Keys. I love the keys. Just the way people live there. Now, in Bonita Springs and Naples, it seems to be of higher social status. Nice cars and houses, a ton of stores with parking lots that are always full and restaurants everywhere. It never ends. I still haven't seen a more quiet part of Florida.

Miami is the worse. Plastic faces, and just too much money there. I hated it. Way too fake. The thing that annoys me the most is the infamous HOA board. That has got to go.

Back at home, I am glad to have a GF that lives on 3 acres of land. I don't like living in the city. I want to be able to do what I want when ever I want. I also want a huge shop/garage to store all my stuff and futur stuff. Can't do that in the city.

You guys are funny. You talk about Florida like it's some high society place, all kinds of money floating around. You talk about Naples being a higher social status? Nice Cars and houses? That's funny. If you want to see all that your on the wrong coast dude. Try living from Daytona south to Miami, that's the fast life and where all the money is at. Try the Palm Beach area if you want to see cars, money and a higher social status. The west coast money is for wannabe money people.
Yeah you can live on the coast of Florida most any where and and see nice Cars and nice Homes but that's not the real Florida, you want to see the real stuff just move inland. I lived in a town where there is one convenient store and that was it. Right now its population as of 2012 was 1892 people. I've been in places in Florida where they still use outhouses.
The problem is the people that come to Florida and go the these high society places and assume the whole state is the same. They see what they want to see, talk bout how expensive it is to live here and complain about prices, they don't see the real Florida.
