Push Mowers on Lawn Care Trailer

I use bungees and have in the past nailed a 2 by 4 behind the rear wheels to hold them in place

Yeah that would be cheaper, but I don't know if I would rather drill holes in the floor for the wood pieces, or holes in the metal side for the wheel boot.

If you drill holes in your trailer metal you will expose metal and it can start to rust

That's true and in 30 years you will be sorry you drilled them holes.

You could just paint the holes.

Yeah that might work! :thumbsup: I'm trying to figure it out. So it can extend across the trailer and act as a "wall", correct?

If you like your trailer I wouldn't use a ratcheting cargo bar. They work nice for a pickup but for a trailer there a no no. I'd go with the boot or bungee cords.

Unless you have some good metal drill bits, drilling holes in the floor would be the way to go depending on the thickness of your plywood. It's not like your trying to restrain q 700lb mower.

How about just a bungee...

Thats what I use is the thick black rubber bungee cords from TSC it makes it alot quicker. This is a good thread though because I am always looking for a better way of securing equipment for transport.

I use bungee cords a lot but I stay away from the black ones because the sun in the summer they break. Maybe I pull them to tight?
