This guy reminds me of that other dude uhmm americanturf? Get so angry its amazing how much gets blamed a man who really has no power he does his job well his job is to be the figure head someone for people to blame
Does his job well? If his "job" is to promote socialism in America, then yes, he does it well. You people that don't believe that have obviously never read HIS OWN writings. Socialism is his end game, and he knows he's got much of the country wrapped around his disgusting finger. That part of the country thinks they can get something for free and are loving it. Those that are making the money pay for those that refuse. Socialism is exploding in this country, and until it's stopped in it's tracks by somebody like Ted Cruz or Rand Paul, we will continue to circle the drain, until the inevitable. Far as I'm concerned, practicing socialism or communism should be considered treason in this country.

If it gets to the point where the EBT cards quit working and the social security and welfare checks are delayed for a few weeks you are going to see a lot of these parasites come out of the woodwork. If you live in the city I would plan an escape to the country. A lot of these parasites have the mentality of what is yours is theirs and they will try to take it as that is all they have ever known is a handout and they feel entitlement to it. Just look at what happened this weekend with an electronic glitch.
EBT system goes down threatening riots.

I agree you take away EBT and there will be riots but not everyone that gets EBT is a thug or never had to work there are people that work full time jobs and get EBT Or foster parents.

16 years of bad presidents has hurt this country

We had bush who started a war over a personal vendetta
Now Obama who gives weapons to country's that will use them on us.
They both used the country for there personal gain.

The bad part is Obama got reelected because he was the one that would do the less harm to the country

I agree that some are truly needy but their are many who abuse the system as they can work but chose instead to live off the government dole. This is who I am addressing. I see them everyday. Usually they are provided with housing, food and a welfare check in the amount of children they can bear. They do drive nice cars though.
As the saying goes, Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day; show him how to catch fish, and you feed him for a lifetime.

16 years of us allowing bad policy has hurt this country.

They have always used war as an excuse to take your liberties/rights temporarily during wartime but with the so called "war on terror" the war is everlasting.

yeah, the 2 Older Parties have not served us well lately. Voting for the lesser of 2 evils still get us evil. Neither one gives 2 cents for individual rights. Yeah, I might think one is worse than the other in that regard, but I still can't support either one - and haven't since the mid-80s.

OK, I ran across this thread after it had somehow evolved from a question about "Affordable Health Care" to a podium for political slander towards others' personal views/convictions. OK.....in an attempt to get this thread back on topic, let me give some feedback from an IT professional who worked over 13 years on Tennessee's variation to State-regulated Medicaid programs lovingly referred to as Tenncare. Now I'm not talking "Medicare", so let's keep the Feds completely out of any responses to my post....THANK YOU VERY MUCH:0)
Although, the waiver/permission TN received was directly from the then called HCFA(the Feds who mandate Medicaid and subsidize it with matching Federally dollars), this was a state(that I was born & raised in 62 years ago) attempt to venture where no other state had ever dared......provide health insurance coverage for (A) ALL children not having coverage, (B)ALL Unisured TN citizens that have income above the poverty level(required for Medicaid eligibility) but do not have coverage and (C)ALL Uninsurable TN citizens that have cancer, etc. where a "private insurance company" will NOT provide a policy for coverage.......PERIOD. Now "THAT", opposed to Obamacare(if that's what we want to call the Affordable Health Care Act) is an attempt at a REAL solution. Sadly, 18 years after it's conception/inception, TENNCARE is a complete failure. Why do you ask? Well let me tell you why.....the (B)Unisured population....yeah like you guys(self-employed, etc.) that are asking about signing up for the current Feds solution were "supposed to" pay a Monthly Premium(a sliding fee based upon Income and family size, and myself being privvy to the rates I can say these were "fair premiums") found out if they didn't pay their premiums HCFA would not allow TN to kick them of the Medicaid(Tenncare) program. An activist lawyer defended them and they simply did NOT pay their premiums(and remained a little more wealthy)!!! I'm talking about self-employed "rich TN residents" with $200,000 homes that WOULD NOT pay a $400/month premium(this was by design revenue that would allow the State of TN to provide coverage to ALL children and uninsurable citizens who insurance companies refused to cover). Of course even those just above the poverty level followed the lead and the "revenue" to make Tenncare work(from Uninsured/Uninsurable premiums) didn't happen causing a reverting to a program that was just like every other state's Medicaid program(all of them on the brink of eating their state budgets alive). Soooooooo, all that being said, what do you think about Tennessee's effort to provide "affordable health care" and the "rich uninsured" causing it to fail. If the Affordable Health Care Act fails.........somehow I personally believe that it will be the same underlying reason(the indifference of the 2% of this nations population that are rich and want to CONTROL everything that happens). I consider the failure of the Tenncare solution to be squarely on the shoulders of greedy rich "politicians"(maybe not in the sense of holding an office, but nonetheless opportunistic just like hardcore Democrats and Republicans). Do you feel a little shame towards this nations values now????????????????

I think we will see more of it as immigrants coming here from Socialist countries expect the same here that they had there. And they vote whoever will give them those things. And you have politicians like Obama promising everyone the stars and moon yet delivering on none of them. Combine that with a media that has a love affair with one party and you'll see why they get elected.

Stroll through memory lane and see people that thought when Obama got elected we'd all be getting "Obama checks" and "Obama phones" and how magically everyone would be rich. Funny how that didn't pan out. Heck, even look at Obama's promises WRT the ACA and you'll see he was wrong on all counts.

What we as a citizenry need to do is vote them all out. Remind them that they are there on our whim and that they are there to serve the people for a limited time and not be a career. Until we start putting the fear of God into them and voting them out we're the ones responsible for this mess!

OK, I digress.....I guess this thread is NOT about Affordable Health Care:0)
itguy08,
Do you have health care coverage through your employer? Does your employer share the premium cost? How much do you get deducted from your paycheck montly for that coverage and can you still afford life's necessities after that expense? Do you get precriptions filled for $10 co-pay generics or does it cost you $100 for a single needed medication? Have you considered turning 65-yrs-old and having Medicare? Are you ever ill, needing a doctor's care and what do you pay(co-pay or co-insurance %)? What if, like my wife last May with breast cancer, you find out you or someone in your immediate family has a life-threatening medical condition and you answered one of the previous questions with a NO?????
I could care less if Alfred E. Neuman was our President or who serves in Congress...but if something isn't done to control the spiraling health care costs and lack of universal health caare coverage the next generation will be the ones to "suffer". Think about that rather than a political agenda:0(

My wife has been chronically ill with severe rheumatoid arthritis for the last 33 years of our marriage. (9 replacement surgeries) Yes I have healthcare from my work, from which I have retired from 5 years ago. And yes, as you retire instead of paying less, since you are no longer on the rolls, you pay more. My healthcare has steadily been getting worse and costs are skyrocketing. Know when they went up the most? In the last 6 months. Thanks Obamacare. You're giving healthcare to those that neither deserve it, nor should even be in this country, and financing it on the backs of the ever-decreasing middle-class. I would have vastly preferred the status-quo to this. Obamacare needs to be trashed-what the hell is the matter with this idiot and why can't he see that the majority of Americans don't want this, and the number is growing everyday? His legacy is likely to be the president that destroyed America. Far as I'm concerned, he's well on his way. Going back to the privately owned healthcare system that is long-remembered as the best in the world is what is needed. Oh, and social security and medicare? Force congress to put into the system retroactively, and be placed on it when they retire just like the rest of us, and it will be fixed tomorrow. Not our faults congress raided the system for it's own uses-they owe it to us.
