Honda Smart Drive Contol

Hello

I have a Honda Smart Drive Control lawn mower (HRR2163VXA). Does anyone know how to fix the "paddle" handle? The pin that holds the cable slipped out of position in the handle. I disassembled the two plastic pieces, but can't tell how the pin fits back within the handle assembly.

Here are a few pages from the shop manual that should help....there's a roll pin that holds it all together.
