I have 2+ acres to mow. Not a huge amount compared to some on here.
I started with a simplicity regent tractor. The cut was great.. but it couldn't take some of the bumps and isn't holding up to well.
So I went with a little SCUT.. Kubota Bx2670 with mid mount mower, front end loader box blade etc.. to help out around the property too.
The cut is OK. Not as good as the simplicity.
I would like to get a ZTR to cut the time down. Something that has a great cut, but also can handle the roughness and not break down.
My thought was the ferris 21000Z. I bit of an overkill, but I'm ok with that if it lasts.
Then I was reading about Scag with a suspension seat.
I haven't seen either cut, except on the web, and there are no dealers for either close. Only box stores and a Kubota dealer.
I'm in Canada so I don't have the same access as some of you guys do.. SO... can you guys help me out with what the differences are and help along with the decision making process?
Thanks
A little late to the post, but the Scag and Ferris ICD deck are so similar, Scag sued Ferris over it.
Four years on my i2000z and the only problem was a defective gas gauge, which was replaced with a newer design under warranty. Oh by the way, I've had 3 back surgeries and have no problems after mowing with my Ferris, which is not equipped with a suspension seat.
