On this parts diagram at Parts tree, and two others I've looked at, It shows the deck idlers, but only labels two of them. #9 & #10. The third one isn't labeled with a number? I suspect it's the same as one of the others. But which one? All three idlers on the mower are the same size 5 3/8 X. 1 3/4.

BTW, is this an 2005 or a 2015?

The diagram on the Husqvarna website shows the missing pulley as a number 9 or at least the diagram shows 2 of number 9 and 1 of number 10 in the part number description

May 11, 2015.

According to the 2015-11 IPL I downloaded from Husqvarna 96732430100 PN 2 ea 532196106 and one ea 532196104 but the 2016-11 IPL has all three ilders as 539132728 (supersedes to 589766102). So the question is all three the same size or not.

I ordered what the diagram shows. The 2" and the thinner one.

Wish me luck. lol...

Check the belt number on both diagrams.
Once in a blue moon a real engineer is accidently employed by a mower company
They look at a deck and ask "why don't we use 3 idlers the same size and either move the bolt 1/4" of fit a shorter belt"
When the other incompetants see he knows what he is doing they get him sacked.

Just done the deck on a L 120 JD
IPL shows 2 small ( same ) & one large idler
Deck has 2 large & one small idler none of which are the same size.
All of them have to be original because the deck has welded tabs to act as belt keepers.
From a vibration point of view no idler should be the same size as this helps to damp out resonant vibrations .
From a production point of view they should all be the same size to reduce inventory & prevent assembly errors.
The actual size of an idler is a trade off between getting a balancebetween the rotational speed of the bearing, the load on the bearing and the largest curve which is better for the belt.

Yes they do use different size belts. The one that has all three idlers the same has an EL = 152.9 and the one two and one has a EL = 154. Both are "B" belts.

And I have too found that JD IPLs are no always as accurate as they need to be.
