I want to remove my 48" worn deck to a 54" deck. Is it just a simple pull out and replace or there other parts I need to repalce, or can it be done at all.

I am not a mechanic, but a homeowner tinkerer that enjoys such projects.

I think your current machine is a stamped deck. If the replacement deck is also stamped, that is the first step toward compatibility.

The 54 inch deck typically is matched with a 26HP engine, so you may be a little underpowered.

The Husqvarna website has illustrated parts manuals that outline in detail parts lists of the deck components of each model, as well as the components of the each tractor's drive train. I'd download those and print out the parts lists and schematics of the deck of each model as well as the chassis and see how close they resemble one another.
