YT4000 917.288560 Headlight Issue

The headlights on my craftsman will not stay on. After riding a while, one will go out, then the other and then one will come back on. Sparratic

If I play with the bulbs under the hood, almost seems like there is a short at the socket as pulling them out will cause them to come on.

Looking for advice on how to troubleshoot.

Make sure the connection to the wiring harness is good and secure. I'm referring to the harness socket that you would separate if you were going to take the hood off. Inspect the wires near the socket as well. Sometimes they can get pinched where the hood hinges are attached and may cause an intermittent short. Good luck!
