XT1 w/ intellipower no start - wiring diagram needed

Hello again - see pic for model & serial number. It has a cub cadet engine which I didn’t find numbers on.

Issue is crank-no start, but you can tell it’s trying to fire when cranking.

There’s no power to the fuel shutoff solenoid so I’m fairly confident that’s what’s causing the no start, but I’m not finding where the power feed is supposed to be coming from. One wire looks like it’s going to the stator and the other looks like it’s going to the controller on the left side of the engine.

I found one fuse at the battery which is good and a relay taped to the harness at the right rear of the engine. Both are good.

A wiring diagram or known problems to check would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Fuel solenoid power comes off ignition switch A1 terminal.

A1 feeds
  • Pin 1 RMC module
  • Pin 8 Hour meter
  • Pin 2 Headlight harness
  • and of course the fuel solenoid.

See PM for additional info

As is my custom in these situations, I double-checked and found there actually is power to the FSS. I’m blaming the new guy for that one. 😁

Carb was full of nasty gunk - got new gaskets and FSS on the way.

Thanks.

Actual both are correct. Now officially it is anti-afterfire solenoid but can be called a fuel solenoid as it also performs both functions.

It does; however, don't stop from flowing into the carburetor.

Now there are automatic fuel flow solenoids, both electric and vacuum operated versions.

BTW, All I was asking was for what the FSS stood for as wasn't a shorten term I have seen before.
