x300 will not move

have a x300 that just stopped moving, looked at the belt looks good visual damage, the 2 drive pulleys are stiff. also when you press the brake pedal the belt does not go slack, looking foe any clues as to what could be the problem, thinking pulleys but thinking there is something else. thanks for inforamtion

Actually the X300 come in two flavors a X300 and a X300R. X300 has two idlers and the X300R has five idlers. So it must be the X300. And so repairs the serial number is need as there is serial break on the this model.

The tension idler on either model does suppose to move loosening the belt. That is one problem you found and must be resolved. BTW JD is calling the connecting rod to the brake/clutch a de-clutch rod.

Also make sure the belt is on every pulley including the transaxle. I have seen belts off the transaxle which can destroy the fan.
