Depends on how you look at it. I retired at the ripe old age of 54. Still think young...

Not really seeing I am in my 70's but still feel young. Just wish I could keep away from them blessed Doctors. They call it the golden ages.

Jumped off the treadmill age age 51, mainly because I made a great investment when I was 40 years old:

I married a rich, smart, hard working woman.

Agree with you, I am so tired of the morons shooting off fireworks and terrorizing our four cats. Wonder how they would like it if I pulled into their driveway at 11 pm some nite and locked the air horn on my truck down and got out and began firing a shotgun in the air as rapidly as I could. MORONS !!!!

Besides, I'd like to have the money wasted in one day, even in our little town (6000 population)!:biggrin:

And, being in the safety business, I've witnessed the damage fireworks cause (both personal & property)! ~~ grnspot

I bet you could get free room and board if you did it. Not too smart of a thing to do or talk about.

....and I've witnessed many MANY fireworks used safely. So, I guess a few drunken morons ruin it for everyone. We used to have a lot of fun with them back before the 'holier than thou' crowd got their way.... Used to be something we looked foward to on the 4th.......

So, that means the cretins who are shooting off fireworks at 11 pm tonite when many people have to go to work tomorrow are doing the right thing....MORONS.

No I didn't say that was right and maybe you got rights also, I don't know. What I am saying to shoot a gun in someones driveway may very well be against the law and you could end up in jail. Why in the world would you think this would be OK thing to do. What if someone was shooting a gun in your driveway. Thank god for laws against such stupid things. As far a blowing your horn it might be OK but also may come under the same laws as the fireworks, don't know. Seeing I am retired I like sleeping in the morning and when the school bus keep blowing its horn for the neighbors children I got in touch with the school and it stopped. Maybe this would be a better idea for you and the fireworks.

ITS NOT AN OKAY THING TO DO BUT NEITHER IS CREATING USELESS NOISE WITH FIREWORKS THATS THE POINT I WAS TRYING TO MAKE. If cretins think it is okay to disturb others with their CENSORED racket how about I pay the morons back??? INCONSIDERATE FOOLS !!!!!

Guys relax, I just asked if anyone was working on the 4th. Why does everything always get off subject on here?

Thought I was the only one bothered by the noise. They drive both me and my dog crazy. Personal fire works are not even legal here.

The 4th is over, why even bother shuffling this around? IMO many threads here on LMF should just stay where they were originally posted.....:confused2:
